Prism Pong VR

PrismPong VR reimagines the classic game of Pong as a fully immersive, fast-paced squash experience inside a rectangular prism arena. Using intuitive motion controls, players deflect a high-speed ball back and forth across the chamber, gaining points with each successful return and escalating the game’s difficulty as velocity and spin build over time.

Inspired by retro arcade classics and infused with modern VR mechanics, PrismPong emphasizes skillful paddle positioning, quick reflexes, and spatial awareness. One hand holds a miniature replica of the arena, showing a live projection of the paddle's position for quick reference. The other controls the real paddle, gliding it across the arena face.

One key inspiration is my love for physics. The game’s physics system incorporates realistic rebound mechanics, spin-based Magnus effects (to make it tricky!), and AI opponents that adjust in difficulty for a solo challenge. Players can also jetpack freely through the 3D environment to spectate & adjust perspective.

With neon-stripe visuals, immersive haptics, and a rhythm of rising tension, PrismPong VR is both a tribute to classic competitive games and a fresh twist on spatial gameplay in virtual reality.
